Our History

Mereside Community Centre opened in 2001, the Charity originally formed in 1999 as Springfield and Sutton Youth and Community Centre. Funding for construction was provided from a National Lottery award and from Shrewsbury and Atcham Borough Council.

In 2001 the centre the centre was named Mereside Community Centre and the charity name change to Mereside Community Centre Association. Below is a selection of pictures of the centre being built and how was it was designed
