Our History

The Charity originally formed in 1999 as Springfield and Sutton Youth and Community Centre. Funding for construction was provided from a National Lottery award and by Shrewsbury and Atcham Borough Council.

In 2001 the centre opened and was named Mereside Community Centre. The charity name changed to Mereside Community Centre Association. Below is a selection of pictures of the centre as it was designed and during construction.
